'Can we call her Justine Bieber Beckham?': David reveals his son Romeo's suggestion for their baby daughter's name

By Georgina Littlejohn

Special guest: David chatted to Kimmel about him and Victoria expecting a baby girl and their sons wanting to call her Justine

In true showbiz style, they have given their three sons some very unusual first names - Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

But even David and Victoria Beckham will draw the line somewhere and that line is naming their daughter after Justin Bieber.

David was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel's chat show last night, and revealed that middle son Romeo wants to call her Justine Bieber Beckham, in tribute to his favourite pop star.

He also admitted that Victoria was relieved to be expecting a girl as she didn't want 'another penis' in the house.

The footballer told his host that he and Victoria had a few names in mind for their daughter, who Victoria is due to give birth to this summer.

And he said they had also asked their sons for some ideas and added: 'When we got told it was a boy, my middle son Romeo said, "How about Justin Bieber as a name? Justin Bieber Beckham?"

Surely it runs in the family? David bursts into laughter as Kimmel joked that it was unacceptable that his son Brooklyn should have to try out for his school football team

'So now we know it's a girl, he said, "Well, how about Justine Bieber Beckham?"

He said Romeo, who is eight, and his six-year-old brother Cruz were big fans of the pop star and had met him at his concert.

When Kimmel joked that Beckham could get Bieber to deliver him a pizza or mow his lawn, the LA
Galaxy star added: 'The funny thing is, I was on the way to school drop off the other day and my youngest said, "Do you think we could have a play date with Justin Bieber?" I think he's a little bit busy.'

David also spoke about their first scan and how they were told that they were expecting a boy again.

He said: 'We've got three beautiful boys and we're ecstatic to have another one on the way but when we first found out, we went for the scan and they said, "oh, it's a boy" and we were like "great" but Victoria was like, "Ahh, another penis in the house".

'She thinks there's too many in the house already. So then we went back for the next scan and they said, "oh, we think it's a girl". So we were like, "oh, ok, well, that's amazing".

'And then on the final scan they said it's definitely a girl so, yeah, it's incredible.'

Beckham was accompanied to the show by Victoria, Romeo and Cruz, but explained that his oldest son Brooklyn, 12, was at football try outs to which Kimmel joked: 'Tryouts? He has to try out? That's totally unacceptable.'

David then revealed that all his boys are competitive and play all sports including baseball, American Football and basketball.

In fact, David regularly takes his sons to watch the LA Lakers play and last night was snapped courtside with Romeo.

He and the family - minus Brooklyn - were snapped arriving at the studios to pre-record last night's show.

And Victoria, who was wearing limited-edition 18 carat gold sunglasses from her own collection, took to her Twitter page as she watched the interview from backstage.

She wrote: 'Sitting with the all the boys in the green room watching David film tonight's show x we are so proud of him!!! X vb'

Observers also commented on David's suit and how much he looked like a character from Wall Street.

Others said he looked like American Psycho character Patrick Bateman, played by Christian Bale in the movie adaptation of the book.

Beckham, 35, certainly did looked like a yuppie from the 80s in his suit and pink pinstriped shirt with a white collar.

He teamed that with a red polka dot tie - which was clipped on to his shirt with a pin - and wore a matching handkerchief in his breast pocket.
