And now David Beckham appears to want to take to the court with his beloved LA Lakers.
The basketball fan, who is a regular in the front row at games at the Staples Centre, looked thrilled when a stray ball bounced towards him during a game against the Memphis Grizzlies last night.

The 35-year-old sportsman looked confident as he dribbled the ball expertly before tossing it back into play.
But while he is usually transfixed by the on-court action, Beckham looked a little bored after his moment in the spotlight passed.
Dressed casually in a grey and white long sleeve T-shirt and jeans, he played with his iPhone4 and chatted to his neighbour in the front row while they shared a packet of popcorn.

His wife Victoria and children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, who sometimes accompany him to games, were nowhere to be seen.
The LA Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 124 to 105.
