He was said to be 'head over heels in love' with Caroline Flack after the pair grew close on The X Factor.

But James Arthur is 'definitely not' dating the 33-year-old television presenter.

A spokesperson for Caroline told MailOnline: 'It's definitely not true and it won't be changing anytime soon.'

The pair were said to have been spotted on a romantic date earlier this week, with onlookers at The X Factor wrap party on Tuesday claiming James spent most of the night 'flirting' with Caroline.

Then on Thursday the duo were spotted at hot London night-spot the Groucho Club, and despite being joined by David Beckham and James Corden, they reportedly couldn't take their eyes off each other.

Ladykiller James and Caroline allegedly spent four hours drinking and chatting at the bar before leaving separately.

An X Factor source told The Sunday Mirror: 'They had a great evening and really enjoyed each other's company, there could definitely be a future between them.'

James previously confessed he thought Caroline was 'beautiful' while Xtra Factor host gushed: 'He has a way of making you touch your hair and go and go all girly. he's just very charming.

'And he is like that with a lot of girls, I don't think it's just me.'

It was rumoured that Caroline, who previously dated X Factor contestant Harry Styles, told James she would only consider a romance after the show had finished to avoid a fan backlash.
