Sportswear... done the Joey Essex way: TOWIE star wears red polo neck and matching trainers for morning run

Standing out from the crowd: Joey Essex went for a run in Essex today wearing a bright red top, black jogging bottoms and matching trainers


He's definitely no stranger to causing controversy with his fashion choices.

But today Joey Essex, who has hit the headlines with his tiny shorts and orange UGG boots, pushed the boundaries with his latest ensemble.

The TOWIE star went for a run wearing a bright red skintight poloneck, a pair of black and red jogging bottoms and a matching pair of red trainers.

Joey teamed the outfit with a huge gold watch as he clutched a bottle of water and jogged around as the ITV2 cameras followed him.

This morning, Joey had written on his Twitter page: 'Up early for filming !! Love getting up early and having the whole day :)'

Marathon man: Arg will be running the London Marathon on April 22nd

And Joey's good spirits continued as he was joined by TOWIE co-star James 'Arg' Argent for the afternoon filming.

It appeared that Arg was joining Joey on the run in preparation for the London Marathon on 22nd April.

Arg is running the 26-mile race in aid of Cancer Research, but admitted on Twitter that he is feeling slightly nervous about the sporting event.

He wrote: 'Heard some scary storys (sic) today about people who have run the London Marathon, Im getting worried!

'Long morning filming from 7am, Nearly done!'

Meanwhile, Frankie Essex showed off her new sunkissed skin in a strapless dress after going for a spray tan.

But in Essex, it's not just the females who like a touch of faux colour.

Ricky Rayment was also seen parading around in a robe in Lauren Goodger's shop for some beauty treatments.
