Kate Winslet reveals her killer curves in sheer dress... shame about the unsightly peach fuzz

Whoops! Kate Winslet put in a stunning turn at the red carpet premiere of her new mini-series Mildred Pierce in New York tonight, but was let down by peach fuzz on her face which was clearly visible under the flashbulbs


Her stunning outfit certainly ensured she stole the spotlight from the younger co-star.

But for Kate Winslet, it was the unforgiving light of the flashbulbs which let her down at the première of her new mini-series tonight in New York.

Unfortunately the 35-year-old star was sporting some unsightly peach fuzz on her face, which was accentuated by foundation which was too pale for her complexion.

Perhaps if the Oscar-winning actress had left the make-up to absorb into her skin for a little longer before being photographed, it wouldn't have highlighted the hair so pertinently.

Winslet was joined by her co-stars, including the stunning Evan Rachel Wood, 23, who plays her on-screen daughter in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce.

Evan looked immaculate in a plum long sleeve jersey cocktail dress and matching peep-toe platforms both by Elie Saab.

Kate plays the title role in Mildred Pierce, a five-part mini-series adapted from James M. Cain's 1941 novel.

It is directed by Todd Haynes and also stars The Fighter actress Melissa Leo, Guy Pearce and James LeGros.

Set in the Great Depression, Winslet's character finds herself separated from her husband, opening a new restaurant and falling in love with another man.

At the same time the new business buts a strain on her already fragile relationship with her daughter Veda.

Parts 1 and 2 of Mildred Pierce premieres on March 27 on HBO.
