Doting father: Jonathan Ross pictured with Betty Kitten in 2009, says he just wants his children to be 'good and stable'
Jonathan Ross has proudly revealed that his daughter Betty Kitten is a lesbian – despite once joking that gay children should be adopted.
The TV host, who is married to screenwriter Jane Goldman, made the revelation about 19-year-old Betty during a radio interview yesterday, adding that he just wanted his children to be ‘good and happy’.
Asked how he would feel if his daughter brought a woman home, he replied: ‘Well, my eldest daughter is gay so that’s a question I’ve dealt with on a regular basis already. And providing it’s a nice woman, I’m thrilled.’
He added: ‘I think that’s pretty much out there, she talks about [her sexuality] on her Twitter feed.’
Ross, 50, and Miss Goldman, 40, have two other children, Harvey Kirby, 16, and Honey Kinney, 13.
The family live in a multi-million pound home in North London.
‘As any dad really, I love my kids regardless of who they are, what they do,’ Ross told Gaydar Radio, a British station aimed at gay listeners.
‘Certainly, their sexuality is a), none of my business and b), certainly none of my concern.
‘I just want them to be good, happy, stable people and so far, all three of them seem to be that.’

In May 2009, Ross was criticised for a gay joke on his BBC Radio 2 show, which led to 61 complaints.
Speaking about an upcoming competition prize, he said: ‘If your son asks for a Hannah Montana MP3 player, you might want to already think about putting him down for adoption before he brings his… erm… partner home.’
He was later cleared of making ‘offensive and derogatory’ comments towards gay people by broadcasting watchdog Ofcom.
After the controversy, Ross said he would be horrified if anyone thought he was homophobic.
