Apprentice glamour girl Liz Locke makes her debut on the celebrity circuit

By Daily Mail Reporter

Out for a laugh: Apprentice contestant Liz Locke stepped out to attend Michael McIntyre's Christmas Charity show

With the final of this year's apprentice fast approaching, the remaining contestants will be starting to think about life after the show.

And Liz Locke - who is one of the favourites to win the coveted job with Alan Sugar - appears to be cementing her place on the London celebrity scene ahead of the December 19 final episode.

The 24-year-old stepped out last night to rub shoulders with comics and fellow reality wannabes at Michael McIntyre's Charity Christmas show.

Dressed in an understated black dress with patterned wrap and patent heels, the attractive brunette, who is engaged to Irish footballer Wayne Henderson, giggled as photographers snapped away.

Unfortunately for the Birmingham beauty, her overzealous use of the fake tan was made plainly obvious under the harsh camera flash.

Miss Locke was joined by a host of comedians at the event, which was held to benefit Shelter, a housing charity for the homeless.

Host McIntyre was joined on stage by James Cordon, Alan Carr, Sean Lock, Rob Brydon and Jason Manford at the Hammersmith Apollo.

Despite having the audience in the stitches inside the gig, Gavin & Stacey co-stars Corden and Brydon both turned serious afterward, not managing a smile.

Alan Carr was far more obliging; the Chatty Man, in an eye-popping red jacket, flashed a grin as he departed.

The comics were watched by some of Liz Locke's fellow reality stars, including The Only Way is Essex star Kirk Norcross.

The nightclub owner, who attended with his girlfriend Lauren Pope, wrote on his Twitter page during the event: 'Laughing so much at Michael Mcintrye's gig! Its so busy in ere!'

YouTube divorcee and Pineapple Dance Studios star Tricia Walsh Smith was also in the audience.

The kooky wannabe popstar was pictured with David Van Day outside the show.

Miss Locke will dress up as a tour guide seller in tomorrow night's episode of The Apprentice in a 'London Tours' task.

With only six contestants remaining out of 16, the competition is heating up as Liz battles it out with Chris Bates, Jamie Lester, Joanna Riley, Stella English and Stuart Baggs for a place in the final.

The investment banker has impressed throughout the series with her negotiating and deal-making skills.

But her stint on the BBC series has not been with controversy.

Early last month a newspaper report accused Miss Locke of lying on her CV about her credentials.

The Sunday Mirror printed a story claiming that rather than the high-flying banking career described in her biography, that Liz was in fact a 'back office' typist, earning £20,000 - £30,000 a year.

The claims were quickly rubbished by the BBC1 show and by sources close to Miss Locke, who said: 'Liz was shocked and upset by the Sunday Mirror’s claims as they were completely untrue.

'She has completed all of her Financial Services Authority regulatory exams and is hugely experienced in her field. To refer to her as a data inputter is laughable!'
