'I'd marry him in Asda!' EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison speaks about her love for Moroccan toyboy fiancé

She plays the larger-than-life and unlucky in love Heather Trott in EastEnders - and in real life, Cheryl Fergison thought she’d lose her heart again after a bitter divorce three years ago.

But the soap star, 46, has revealed that her life has changed forever since meeting Moroccan Yassine Al-Jermoni, 25, in an internet chat room last April - and that he proposed over Christmas.

Talking in this week's Closer magazine, Cheryl revealed: 'Yassine proposed in a very romantic way. On Christmas Day he made a path of tealights and rose petals leading from the hall to the bedroom.


'He’d written in rose petals on the sheets: "Will you marry me?" He’s my angel. I never thought I’d feel this way again but he’s made me feel like a new woman. I’m so excited, I could run down the red carpet and do a cartwheel.'

She added: 'My EastEnders co-stars haven’t really spoken to me about my engagement - they’ve got their own lives to worry about.'

Cheryl insists that she doesn’t care about the 21-year age gap and having to fund her marriage to penniless Yassine – who’s recently insisted he’s a jewellery seller, not a goatherd as previously reported.

'It’s not about money,' gushed Cheryl, who’s diabetic and admits she’s clinically obese. 'I don’t care if we don’t have a big white wedding. I’d get married in Asda if it meant I could spend the rest of my life with Yassine.'

Cheryl plans to move Yassine – who lives with his elderly parents in Agadir, Morocco – into her house in Sidcup, Kent, but in the meantime, the loved-up couple keep in touch via Skype and online messaging.

The star - who has a 12-year old son, Alex, by her ex-husband Jamshed Saddiqi - adds: 'It’s tough having a long-distance relationship so I can’t wait until we’re both in the same place.

'I already have a fantastic son so I don’t want any more kids with Yassine. We’re already a happy unit.'

Yassin, who lives with his elderly parents in Agadir, a beach resort in the south-west of Morocco, has previously said of Cheryl: 'She's beautiful to me. Why do people only see her fatness? I see her beauty. I love her.'

He plays womanising Barney Stinson in the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother, but real life couldn't be more different for Neil Patrick Harris.

The actor is revelling in domestic bliss after he and his boyfriend David Burtka welcomed twins via surrogate three months ago.

The couple were spotted enjoying a serene family stroll near his home in Los Angeles with their babies Harper and Gideon strapped to their chests.


The 37-year-old actor and his long-term partner, who both kept the little ones wrapped up, joined by friends and their dogs.

Harris took to Twitter this week to share just how much his life has changed since becoming a father, posting a picture of a Red Bull mini-fridge filled with bottles of milk.

'This pic kind of sums up my life right now,' he wrote.

Last week he said the pair are growing up quickly, noting: 'The tots both started laughing. On the same day.

'I'm now obsessed with getting them to do it. Babies laughing is like opium.'

The fraternal twins were born on October 12 and now live with their famous fathers in their Hollywood Hills home.

For now, at least, it remains a mystery to the pair as to 'whose is whose' in the biological sense.

Speaking about the surrogacy process, Harris told People magazine last month: 'We found an egg donor anonymously through a hilarious process of looking at people's profiles and then an amazing surrogate who had helped same-sex couples before.

'And then we inserted two eggs, one with my sperm, one with David's sperm and they both took.'

Burtka, who quit acting last year to become a chef, added: 'When we first found out it was fraternal twins, we were thrilled.

'We don't know whose is whose, but it's amazing how different they are already. She is all girl and he is all boy,' he added, before Harris elaborated: 'She is more emotional and verbal. He sleeps and burps a lot.'

Harris is, of course, juggling work with fatherhood and recently welcomed Katy Perry to the set of his hit show.

She filmed a guest spot with him on an episode set to air in the U.S. on February 7.

No more Mr Nice Guy: Michael McIntyre reduced a nine-year-old boy to tears during the Birmingham auditions of Britain's Got Talent


His jovial demeanour and schoolboy chubby cheeks give audiences the impression that Michael McIntyre is a nice guy.

But the comedian may be stepping into the 'Mr Nasty' role left vacant by Simon Cowell, after it was revealed he reduced a nine-year-old boy to tears during the Birmingham auditions of Britain's Got Talent.

Schoolboy David Knight was cheered by the audience as he arrived on stage for the final audition in Birmingham dressed in a sharp suit.


He made a confident start telling the new judging panel made up of McIntyre, David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden: ‘I’m entering Britain’s Got Talent because I did a local competition and won it.

‘After that everyone was nagging me to go on Britain’s Got Talent. In the end I thought for goodness sake. I will go on.’

McIntyre then asked David to name his favourite comedians joking that he ‘should not be influenced by the fact I am judging.’

But when youngster replied ‘Harry Hill’ he hit his red buzzer – before the routine had even started.

David looked physically shaken by the sound and his eyes filled with tears as he struggled to maintain his composure on the stage in front of almost a thousand people.

McIntyre tried to reassure him by insisting he was joking and retracting his buzzer but onlookers feared the boy would burst into tears on run off stage.

He managed to recover to perform his routine and received a standing ovation from the crowd and the judges.

Amanda Holden told him: ‘Congratulations. You had brilliant material. I hadn’t heard any of the jokes before and it was well delivered.’

McIntyre also heaped praise on the youngster and apologised for upsetting him.

He added: ‘David, you are very, very, talented. You are nine years old and you have been as funny talking to us as you have been in your routine.’

David Hasselhoff stuck up for David, telling him: 'You belong on that stage. I've never seen anyone intimidate Michael like that. I love you for it.'

The Baywatch star couldn't resist a dig at his fellow judge, adding: 'You are not only the best nine-year-old comedian I have seen, you are the best comedian.

McIntyre admitted he was wrong to reject the hopeful so soon, and told David: 'I'm sorry. You're a star in the making.'

The sheepish comic appeared to regret his actions, saying later: 'He had bought a one-way ticket to tears. I thought I was going to have to jump on the stage.

'The buzzer is so loud! I hope they edit that out - I don't want to see him jumping out of his skin.'

McIntyre's representative played down the incident, telling Mail Online: '(McIntyre) doesn't shatter dreams, he's proving to be one off the most loved judges on there.'

The youngster from Leicestershire was accompanied to the audition by his parents James, who works for Audi, and Patricia, who is a nurse.

Birmingham is the last stop for the judges, who have been trawling the country since January 4 looking for new talent.

The debate has raged in recent years over whether Britain’s Got Talent is exploiting children by allowing contestants to take part at any age.

Hundreds of viewers complained over the welfare of child singers Hollie Steele and Natalie Okri, who both cried during their performances because of the pressure of the live shows.

Claude Knights, director of Kidscape, has said it would be better to develop a separate children's competition with a lower age limit so the youngest children are better protected.

It is estimated that Britain's Got Talent received 50,000 applications from children to take part in the show – over 75 per cent of the total applications made – for the 2009 programme.

The youngest-ever contestant was four-year-old Kayim-Ali Jaffer who impersonated Michael Jackson on last year’s show, prior to that it was Connie Talbot, six, who sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow and came runner-up to Paul Potts in 2007.

A spokesperson for Britain's Got Talent has yet to respond to requests for comment.

Dannii Minogue kept her fans back in the U.K. green with envy today as she lounged on the beach in Miami.

The 39-year-old showed off an enviable post-baby body in a purple one-piece as she filmed the summer advertising campaign.

Lying on a sun lounger cushion, Dannii looked happy and body-confident as the film crew hovered around her.

The Australian was later joined by her fellow models Twiggy, Lisa Snowdon, VV Brown and Ana Beatriz Barros for an afternoon on a boat out at sea.

Dressed in a bright nautical-style red and white dress and wedge sandals, the mother-of-one looked like she was having the time of her life, far away from the single digit temperatures of London.

The group posed up a storm on the deck of the boat surrounded by handsome male models.

Singer VV Brown also sported a chic lemon yellow dress with a wide-brimmed hat, and Brazilian model Ana wore a black and white-print maxi dress.

In yet another scene, the group were all filmed together for this first time in their week-long shoot, strutting down the street.

The models don't seem to need to act like the best of girlfriends, as they are also bonding off camera too.

The group dined at the exclusive Soho Beach House last night with Dannii's boyfriend Kris Smith, who accompanied her on the shoot, and also her X Factor fellow judge Louis Walsh.

While the women appeared to be enjoying more of a summer holiday than working, Dannii told fans on Twitter that while sunny, it isn't quite as warm in the Florida city as she'd hoped.

'Sunshine in Miami,' she wrote, 'But not hot. Icy wind. Kris buying more clothes to keep warm!'

It may have been chilly out on the water, but with the forecast in the high-twenties Celsius, her fans may not have had much sympathy for the star.

While the girls were certainly looking stylish in their nautical wear today, Dannii and Lisa Snowdon were both sporting some questionable style earlier in the week.

Capital FM presenter Lisa was spotted walking around the set in an unflattering maxi dress with curlers in her hair.

Meanwhile Dannii was sporting an ageing bouffant hairstyle that made her appear twice her age.

Earlier this week, Dannii was seen taking part in a wedding scene for the advert with VV Brown and Twiggy, wearing a variety of summer frocks and colourful floral accessories.

Wearing a chic print dress and a hot pink fascinator, the X Factor judge and her equally colourful co-stars appeared to be shooting a wedding scene as they laughed and threw confetti.

She said recently: 'There’s a few songs that I’ve recorded. I don’t know what I am going to do with them. At the moment I’m trying to work out how to juggle everything, like the TV, being a mum, Australia, London, and there’s a lot already juggling.

'I don’t want to put too many things in the mix and not be able to do things properly. Also, I need a lot of time for the Project D fashion stuff.’

But Dannii did admit she had taken inspiration from her fellow X Factor judge Cheryl Cole taking to the stage during the last series of the show.

She added: 'I know how nerve-racking it is… seeing Cheryl do it. I would be so nervous too but it would be the best experience ever.’

Girls just wanna have cosmetic surgery? Cyndi Lauper showed off a very red and patchy face - suggesting she'd had a chemical peel - as she flew out of Los Angeles yesterday


Many women approaching their 60s will try some sort of cosmetic procedure in an attempt to turn back the years.

And it seems that Cyndi Lauper could be no exception.

The 57-year-old singer was snapped at an airport yesterday with a bright red face and sore-looking skin.


She looked as though she'd either had a very nasty reaction to her make-up or she was suffering the after-effects of too much sun.

Some even suggested that the pale-faced veteran pop star has succumbed to vanity and had a chemical peel, which can result in some irritation, redness and peeling skin on the face for a few days afterwards.

But her publicist was soon on hand to clear the matter up and explained that Ms Lauper has in fact had 'a bad reaction to a spa treatment '.

Cyndi was snapped arriving at Los Angeles International Airport yesterday - trying to hard her face - presumably jetting off home to New York.

And her red face was in sharp contrast to the smooth and pale complexion she showed off four days earlier at a ceremony in her honour in her native New York.

She looked twenty years younger as she posed for pictures after a bus was dedicated to her and her 30-year-career.

Past Ride of Fame honorees include Donald Trump, Whoopi Goldberg and Richard Dreyfuss.

The launch took place at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art last Thursday right by the spot where she did the line-up for her video for one of her best-known songs Girls Just Want to Have Fun.

But a couple of days later, she was in Los Angeles with her red face, suggesting that she had flown to the Californian city for the procedure.

As she unveiled her bus, she told fans and the waiting press that she hired a double decker bus for her marriage to actor David Thornton in 1991.

And she spoke about young pop star Lady Gaga, who she collaborated with for an advertising campaign for make-up giants MAC.

I’m glad to see that people care and are passionate about their work and she combines art and music. I always like that.'

Peter Andre unhappy as ex-wife Katie Price straightens daughter Princess' hair AGAIN

Peter Andre has hit out at his ex-wife Katie Price after she straightened their daughter Princess's hair.

The three-year-old is known for her naturally wild curly blonde hair, but was photographed with poker straight locks during a trip to the hair salon with her mother last week.

After previously speaking of his disdain for using irons on his daughter before, Andre admitted he would prefer his ex to wait until Princess is older before using straighteners.


Writing in his New! magazine column this week, Andre said: 'There was a photo in the papers of Princess and her mum and my daughter clearly had her hair straightened.

'In my opinion, a three-year-old child shouldn't have her lovely hair straightened.

'If she wants to do it when she's older that's fine. I'd prefer it if her lovely curls were left natural.'

Hair experts have warned children's hair and scalps are more delicate and more prone to damage than adults so if straightening irons are used, they should be at very low temperatures.

The exes were previously embroiled in feud over their children's hair a year ago.

The glamour model admitted she was angry with Andre after he allowed his hairdresser brother Michael to give the three-year-old's hair a trim.

Writing on her Twitter page in the early hours of Boxing Day 2009, she fumed: 'Can't believe that when I got kids back, Princess comes back with her hair all cut short. Soo out of order.'

She then added: 'Pete's brother has cut Princess's hair off. Can't put it in a ponytail. Why would they do that? To prove what point?'

Defending his decision to trim Princess's hair, Andre told OK! magazine a few weeks later: 'That was the most pathetic thing to get brought out into the public domain.

'It was a trim off the ends of her hair, for God's sake. It was so pathetic. My daughter's hair needed a trim, what's the problem?

'The truth is, Princess had come to me a few times with hair straightened by straightening irons, which used to annoy me, so I had to get it trimmed.'

In an interview in November 2009, Price admitted using hair straighteners on her toddler's delicate hair.

She said: 'She has naturally curly blonde hair which I straightened recently and it didn't look good - she looked like a little troll.'

Meanwhile, Andre has laughed off reports he is moving in with his new girlfriend Elen Rivas, insisting it is still early days.

He wrote in his column: 'We've only known each other for two and a half months and we're enjoying each other's company.

The couple have been dating since meeting at their manager Claire Powell's 45th birthday party at the Crazy Bear Members Club in London on November 20 last year.

In between their work commitments, the pair have been visiting each other at their homes. Andre lives in Surrey, while Rivas resides in a £3million Chelsea townhouse - bought for her by Lampard.

The pair also have children the same age - Rivas has two daughters Luna, five, and Isla, three, while Andre is dad to Junior, five, and Princess.

Hope you're working up a sweat! Big Brother's Michelle Bass defies the winter weather to go jogging in a crop top

It would take a brave person to go for a run in a crop top during your average winter, never mind the exceptionally cold one that this year has brought.

But the chilly weather did not seem to deter former Big Brother housemate Michelle Bass when she took to a London park for a jog on Tuesday.

The 29-year-old donned a black sleeveless crop top, along with red and blue jogging bottoms and pulled her blonde hair back into a ponytail during her workout.


And as well as running she used the surrounding rocks to take herself through a series of stretches and lunges.

Geordie Michelle - who married hypnotherapist Steve McKeown last September - first found fame as a housemate on Big Brother 5.

She returned to the house last September for Ultimate Big Brother although was evicted just before the final, which was eventually won by Brian Dowling.

Michelle has admitted to struggles with her weight in the past.

In 2009 she ballooned to 12 and a half stone and a size 16, but lost two stone on a diet devised by Jason Vale, who who helped Katie Price shed over two stone following the birth of her second child Junior in 2005.

However she recently admitted to Now! Magazine that she had put on weight since finishing the show, putting on two stone in three months.

I'd really love to stay slim as I feel more confident and sexy,' Michelle said, 'but whenever I reach a good weight I take my foot off the pedal, stop exercising and gradually all the weight just piles back on

Michelle also told Now! that she is keen to start a family with her 31-year-old husband, but wants to get in shape first.

'I don't want to be a big lump with a bump,' she admitted. 'Once you have a baby to look after, dieting is the last thing on your mind.'

The pair looked more like sisters than mother and daughter as they both showed plenty of spray-tanned leg in their neutral toned outfits.

The Hollywood actress, 48, herself looked runway-ready, as she arrived with Ashton for the Colcci show at the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil.

The A-list couple jetted into the South American country this week after spending some time in the snowfields at this year's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen also model for Colcci during the shows, which runs through until Wednesday.

And Corrie star Helen Flanagan feared she had become the latest soap star stalked by a crazed admirer last week when she fled her hotel room in tears, screaming 'There's a man under my bed!'

The 20-year-old appeared in the lobby of the Radisson Edwardian hotel in Canary Wharf, London barefoot in her bed clothes and in a terrified state, witnesses report.


Helen was staying at the hotel with her Coronation street co-stars after the National Television Awards when the incident happened at about 12.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

The actress, who plays Rosie Webster on the soap, came out of the lift at the ground-floor lobby and stunned onlookers by screaming that there was a man under her bed in her fifth-floor hotel room.

'Helen was absolutely hysterical,' an onlooker told The People.

'All of a sudden the lift doors opened and out stepped Helen. She was on her own but all of us looked up when she mentioned twice that there was this man under her bed.

'She was holding her hands to her face clutching a tissue. It was like Helen had just seen a ghost.

'Her hair was a mess and she was wearing her bed scruffs a striped rugby top, loose-fitting trousers and nothing on her feet.'

Reception staff rushed to the actress' aid, the witness says, and ushered her into a back office.

But when security staff went to search the room, they found no one in there.

A spokeswoman for Coronation Street confirmed the incident: 'Helen was checking under her bed and for a split second she thought she had seen someone.

'She is very upset and doesn't want to discuss it.'

Miss Flanagan's co-star Katherine Kelly, 30, went into the manager's office to comfort her co-star.

The cast were staying at the East London hotel after attending the awards ceremony at the nearby O2 Arena.

The Corrie stars drowned their sorrows at a post-awards party at the hotel after losing out on the Best Serial Drama to EastEnders.

Helen has spoken in the past about her security fears as a downside to fame.

'It can be quite dangerous sometimes,' she has said. 'Its easier to go out when there's security and you're all together.'
