Here come the girls! Katherine Jenkins, Amy Childs and Kimberly Garner all turn on the style for Ladies Day at Royal Ascot

Just about sticking to the rules! Katherine Jenkins looked stunning but the sheer panels on her dress which showed off some skin were lucky to pass the new regulations at Royal Ascot

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the new dress code for the Royal Enclosure at Ascot this year.

Dresses must fall no shorter than just above the knee, spaghetti straps are out and you can forget about fascinators as headpieces need to have a base of at least four inches.

Even famous faces must adhere to the strict rules and Katherine Jenkins, Amy Childs and Kimberly Garner all made sure they looked the part as they attended Ladies Day at Royal Ascot today.

Reality TV stars Amy Childs (left) and Kimberly Garner also managed to stay within the new regulations at Royal Ascot today

However, Katherine, 31, sneakily displayed an ingenious way of bending the rules.

The Welsh songbird appeared to be dressed in a demure silver dress that on the surface ticked all boxes.

It was not strapless, low cut or too short but the rose-print dress did have three subtle sheer panels which showed off slithers of flesh .

Photographers darling: Katherine worked her magic for the cameras

Katherine had a light grey wide brimmed hat on her hair and her blonde locks were styled into a bun.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant was dressed in Garrard jewellery for the occasion.

Around her neck dangled the £4,200 entanglement pendant and she was also sporting a £6,250 ring.

She may not be on Made In Chelsea anymore but that didn't stop Kimberly having a giggle as she attended Ascot today

The jewellery is inspired by the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara, created by Garrard for Queen Mary in 1914 and later gifted to Diana, the Princess of Wales, by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding gift.

Meanwhile, Childs kept her surgery enhanced cleavage under wraps in a monochrome optical illusion dress.

The flame-haired reality TV star showed off her slim frame in the dress, which fell within regulations by falling just above the knee, and sported a pair of peep-toe platform shoes.

A black bag, large headpiece and a pair of sunglasses finished off the outfit.

Sacked Made In Chelsea star Kimberly Garner also just about managed to stay within the new style rules although some could argue that her navy dress was a tad too short.

However, her thick straps were within regulations and she sported a headpiece which matched her dress.

Welsh contingent: Katherine attended with her mother Susan and younger sister Laura

Nude sandals and matching bag completed the look.

One thing all three stars also had in common were the large smiles they flashed, clearly enjoying their day at the races amongst royalty.
